Claims & Risk Solicitor Law Mutual (WA)

The Law Society of Western Australia the peak body for the legal profession in Western Australia is seeking a motivated Claims & Risk Solicitor to be part of the Law Mutual (WA) team. Law Mutual (WA) is operated by the Law Society of Western Australia to administer the compulsory professional indemnity scheme for legal practitioners in Western Australia.
The Role
As the Claims & Risk Solicitor you will handle a diverse range of complex professional indemnity claims against legal practitioners from a broad range of practice areas and play a pivotal role in supporting your peers in the legal profession through some of the most challenging moments of their careers with empathy compassion and professionalism.
About You
You are a qualified legal practitioner with:
A minimum of 4 years post-admission experience and a current unrestricted practising certificate
A strong background in insurance litigation preferably in professional indemnity insurance and/or claims management
Sound knowledge in a broad range of areas of legal practice
Excellent communication negotiation stakeholder engagement and time management skills
Sound judgement high ethical standards and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment
A sincere commitment to supporting your fellow practitioners and strengthening the integrity of the legal profession
