RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform setup and complete production schedules by following directions on the press brake programs.
- Operate press brake to add bends pem insertion machines to add pem fasteners to sheetmetal parts mask and/or unmask sheetmetal parts.
- Operate the punch machines.
- Follow instructions assigned by the supervisor engineers & managers.
- Accurately report production information to supervisors and managers.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Troubleshoot defective processes.
- Support ISO Quality System Quality Policy and Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Safety hazard identification and elimination.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Other duties as requested.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in a fast paced production environment with multiple product changes during the shift.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Communication skills.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Hand/eye coordination.
- Ability to use calipers and other measuring instruments
- Ability to read blue prints.
- Ability to perform job function while standing for an entire shift including overtime when necessary.
- Ability to operator a forklift.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of sheetmetal fabrication experience preferred.
- CNC operation experience a plus
