We are seeking a talented individual to lead the regional Captives Solutions team for Asia Pacific at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. Reporting to the Global Captives Solutions Leader this role will be responsible for driving the strategic vision growth and operational excellence of Captive Solutions within the designated region. This role requires a dynamic leader who can foster strong client relationships manage operations effectively and develop a robust talent strategy while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Regional Leader will collaborate closely with other Captive Solutions Regional Leaders and teams across Marsh and broader Marsh McLennan Companies to align initiatives and leverage resources for optimal performance and client satisfaction. This role embodies the principle of becoming Risk adviser of the future in a collaborative manner and is considerably more than a domicile/team leader role.

We will count on you to:

Strategy & Growth

  • Develop a compelling vision and strategy -in alignment with the broader Captives and Marsh business objectives - that motivates and unites colleagues in the region towards a common goal. Establish a roadmap for success including setting up measurable goals outlining key initiatives and making sure resources are allocated effectively.
  • Lead the development and implementation of regional change management strategies establishing overall vision for change and inspiring teams across the region to embrace the new direction.
  • Take financial responsibility for the region including revenue revenue growth budgets forecasts and expense control maximizing revenue in compliance with corporate guidelines and MMC regional objectives.
  • Lead the regional team in identifying growth opportunities and enhancing service offerings to meet client needs. Act as the executive sponsor for sales pipeline management and RFP responses fostering collaboration with the consulting group and sales teams to optimize growth opportunities and meet sales targets.
  • Lead the new product development process from initiation to launch.
  • Serve as a thought leader within the organization staying updated on industry trends participating in relevant conferences as an attendee and speaker enhancing Marsh Captives visibility as a top leader in the market.

Client Relationship Management & Operations

  • Take a proactive approach to managing client relationships working closely with Client Operations leaders to ensure seamless service delivery and operations within the region minimizing disruptions ensuring high client satisfaction and retention. Bring a strategic view of captive development to clients utilizing our leadership position in the Captive environment.
  • Act as a Senior Relationship Officer for key strategic clients addressing complex client needs and fostering relationships through regular meetings. Act as a point of escalation for any client-related issues or concerns ensuring timely resolution and/or further escalation to Captives President.
  • Ensure Domicile Leaders and Client Service Leaders monitor the profitability of client accounts and determine optimal pricing strategies.
  • Support their direct reports to drive operational efficiency streamlining processes and optimizing resource allocation. Implement best practices and leverage optimal utilization of resources including technology to enhance productivity and working with COG effectively to deliver high-quality services to clients.
  • Act as the primary liaison for HR and Finance ensuring alignment and support for operational needs.

Talent Strategy & Team Culture

  • Lead talent acquisition development and retention efforts to build a high-performing team within the region with succession plans to help institutionalize client relationships.
  • Foster a positive culture of collaboration trust and diversity & inclusion. Promote cross-collaboration within the region to leverage diverse expertise and enhance service delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to build connectivity between teams and promote information sharing practices. Lead quarterly regional meetings and stewardship sessions to ensure alignment and engagement across teams.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth encouraging team members to enhance their skills and expertise. Collaborate with domicile leaders to establish performance goals create accountability and colleague empowerment to deliver exceptional client service and achieve high performance standards.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory professional and transparency standards to better serve our clients. Stay informed about changes in regulations and assess their impact on the business implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies to facilitate effective communication and compliance.
  • Participate on individual domicile Marsh boards providing insights and strategic direction to support the companies objectives and initiatives.

Matrix Management

  • Participate in appropriate leadership meetings within MMC region and ensure there is captive alignment
  • Foster close collaboration with client industry consulting and placement groups as well as other Marsh McLennan businesses (e.g. Oliver Wyman Mercer Guy Carpenter) to leverage synergies and enhance service delivery across the organization.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to promote Captive Solutions internally sharing best practices and insights with broader teams to foster a collaborative environment and enhance overall business performance.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 12 years in a senior leadership role within insurance preferably within the Captives solutions area
  • Asia and Pacific market experience.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate negotiate and drive outcomes working with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure delivery of business goals.
  • Significant progressive leadership experience stakeholder management experience with gravitas and credibility with strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and capabilities to prioritize workload and manage such during busy periods
  • Strong knowledge of existing regulatory and compliance requirements across Asia
  • Experience driving business change initiatives. Strong record of independent leadership and influencing skills with proven experience as a change agent.
  • Results-oriented mindset and willingness to hold others accountable for delivering results and high standards of performance.
  • Self-motivated and directed with strong results orientations and ability to work independently in an evolving environment
  • Ability to work across borders and boundaries including a collaborative mindset
