Product Support Engineer

Thales OME designs a range of state-of-the-art solutions for some of the most technically advanced defence and security platforms in the world and we are seeking an experienced Product Support Field Service Engineer who can apply their knowledge and skills to support our customers and our equipment.
Our Opportunity
As a Product Support Field Service Engineer you will be the first point of contact for technical queries and support for our external customers.
This role is primarily to support our customers providing on-site technical support at the customers premises as and when required and will require a great deal of flexibility in a challenging and demanding environment. You will be required to travel up to 70% of the time.
The LR grade is dependent on experience.

Location
The position will be based at the Thales site in Glasgow with extensive travel to customers sites. The expectation is that 50% of time will be spent offsite with the remainder in Glasgow supporting our industry colleagues.
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held however if not currently held it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo achieve and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
To be eligible for full SC you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 some circumstances a minimum of 3 years residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted with additional overseas checks.
