Epic Physician Billing Analyst
About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Epic Physician Billing Analyst to play a critical role in the configuration maintenance and optimization of the Epic Professional Billing module.
This position ensures accurate billing claims processing and reimbursement for healthcare providers while supporting compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards.
This is a hybrid role based in Hicksville NY (transitioning to Garden City NY). Training requires 5 days per week onsite after which the role follows a hybrid model (Mondays Tuesdays and Fridays onsite).

What Youll Be Doing:
System Configuration & Maintenance
- Configure and customize the Epic Professional Billing application to meet organizational needs.
- Maintain and update the Resolute Professional Billing module managing charges benefit engines and workflows with external collection agencies.
- Build test and implement system changes ensuring seamless migration into production.
Workflow Analysis & Optimization
- Analyze current financial workflows and identify improvements.
- Design and implement best practice billing workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT finance and end-users to align Epic with business operations.
Support & Troubleshooting
- Serve as the primary support contact for end-users of Epic Professional Billing.
- Troubleshoot issues related to billing claims and reimbursement.
- Provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
Training & Compliance
- Train and educate end-users on Epic applications and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with billing and coding standards including ICD-10 CPT and X12 transitions (4010 to 5010).
- Stay current with Epic releases recommending updates and enhancements.
What Youll Need:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Computer Engineering or related field.
- Epic Professional Billing Certification (required).
- 3 years of experience with Epics Professional Billing module including charge router workqueue configuration collection agency workflows statement processing benefit engine and estimates.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes billing codes and insurance procedures.
- Familiarity with professional vs. hospital billing differences.
- Proficiency with CPT and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Excellent communication problem-solving and collaboration skills.
