Job Description
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an enthusiastic student eager to support SELs Application Engineers and customers on SELs industrial computers through hands-on exposure and interactions. As an Application Engineering Intern a typical day might include the following:
Provide support for communication/automation/protection test beds.
Perform testing on existing and new technology.
Document test bed activities and results.
Support Sales and Customer Service and product development activities related to communication/automation/protection.
Support applications engineers to develop best practice application guides for SEL technology that provide secure and compliant solutions.
This job might be for you if:
Current student pursuing a degree in Software Engineering or Management Information Systems
Self-motivated/self-starter
Windows and Windows Server system administration (Linux administration is a bonus)
Familiarity with networking (IP TCP/UDP DNS DHCP multicasting etc.)
Enjoy fixing or repairing computers as a hobby
Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with computer automation

Pay Range Data
($19.50 - $32.50 per hour) Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
