Data Scientist, Senior, ML Cloud, HYBRID Part- OR Full-time (AE)

AEITS Inc. a GTSC company is growing its team! Seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction MD area.

Location: Annapolis Junction Maryland

All work is on-site with some hybrid opportunity.

Schedule: Mon-Fri. Part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week available for someone with very strong skills.

Compensation: Salary is highly dependent upon the skills that you bring to the position. See both Requirements and Strongly Desired below.

Mission: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning scalable data science solutions and knowledge of hybrid cloud environmentswith the ability to design and implement cutting-edge analytics capabilities and can show a portfolio of past experience including any blogs papers talks Kaggle and contributions to open source.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph
• Bachelors degree in computer science statistics mathematics or related field.
• 3 years of experience in data science or related field plus additional 3 years experience in a complimentary function such as cybersecurity.
• Programming skills in Python with working knowledge of Python packages such as Pytorch Keras and TensorFlow and other relevant packages.
• Experience in machine learning deep learning and statistical modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in Elastic and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience in designing and implementing real-time machine learning solutions.

Education and Required Qualification

• Bachelors degree in computer science statistics mathematics or related field.
• Desired: Masters or Ph.D. degree in computer science.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data science solutions across hybrid-cloud environments.
• Create and manage Elastic anomaly detection jobs and manage ingesting new data formats and converting logs to Elastic Common Schema.
• Develop machine learning models for cybersecurity and automation including building Local RAG/LLM models.
• Automate analytic solutions and build scalable analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate with the mission team to gather requirements across various teams.
• Assess and implement new tools and technologies to enhance mission capabilities.
• Lead complex data science projects from conception to production.
• Develop real-time data processing solutions at scale.
• Integrate AI/ML with applications and systems.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the overall growth of the data science team.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strongly Desired:

• Masters or Ph.D. degree in computer science.
• Experience with GPU-accelerated data science tools and libraries such as NVIDIA RAPIDS Morpheus cuDF and cuML.
• Experience implementing zero trust systems.
• Experience using Elastic Security anomaly detection to find cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
• Experience designing deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications using Docker or ContainerD and Helm charts.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments specifically for MLOps and LLMops using GitLab or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML applications in systems and software.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau PowerBI and Elastic.
• Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop Spark Elasticsearch and data lakes.
• Cloud computing expertise using AWS Azure or other.
• Experience with distributed systems tools such as Etcd zookeeper or consul.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging system.
• Experience with anomaly detection using Python.
• Unix data science skills.
• Intelligence Community (IC) experience.

Travel: Less than10%travelmay occur.
