Job Description
Are you a fluent Russian speaker with strong English skills and a passion for helping people connect Were hiring a Remote Russian-Speaking Translator to join our team in Portugal. This is a full-time remote position but you must be a resident of Portugal to be considered. You will play a vital role in bridging communication gaps across a variety of critical sectors.
Prior experience is a plus but not a must as we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success.
The Project and Your Role
You will be part of a team providing on-demand language services for a leading global language solutions company. Your main mission is to translate and interpret conversations in real time serving as the crucial link for people communicating across language barriers in industries like healthcare finance and legal services.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Real-time Interpretation: You will answer incoming calls and provide high-quality real-time interpretation between Russian and English.
- Maintain Accuracy and Confidentiality: You will accurately convey information while strictly adhering to confidentiality protocols.
- Professional Communication: You will professionally manage the flow of conversations ensuring smooth and effective communication for all parties.
- Quality Assurance: You will maintain the highest standards of quality in your translations taking care to use appropriate terminology.
What Were Looking For
- Fluent Russian: You must have native-level or C2 proficiency in Russian (written and spoken) to ensure precise and clear translations.
- Advanced English: You need at least a C1 level of English to handle complex conversations and communicate with clients effectively.
- Strong Communication Skills: You should be an excellent listener with a clear and professional speaking voice.
- Adaptability: The ability to think quickly and adapt your translation style to different situations and industries is essential.
- Resilience: You should be able to handle sensitive and challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
