Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Vale of Glamorgan to assist with the appointment of a TAF Worker on a 6-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13.17 - 16.72 per hour

Summary:

The TAF Worker will deliver a direct service to children young people and their families/carers in line with Families First guidance relevant legislation and national standards. The role involves working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to assess needs develop and monitor support plans and provide early interventions to improve outcomes. The postholder will ensure that safeguarding family wellbeing and positive engagement remain at the heart of service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a consistent high-quality service to all children young people and families referred to the Families First FACT Service.
  • Deliver direct work with children young people and families in line with agreed casework planning and under supervision.
  • Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with Council safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Contribute information for the Early Help Manager and Management Board supporting service planning and performance monitoring.
  • Promote and represent the work of the FACT/TAF Service positively with all stakeholders and partner agencies.

Essentials:

  • Good standard of general education (minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent in childcare youth work social care or related field).
  • Knowledge of Families First Early Help or TAF frameworks.
  • Experience of working directly with children young people and families in a support childcare youth work or social care setting.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
