What Youll Be Doing
Global Money Operations (GMO) provides infrastructure and processing services for electronic payment products and FX/MM settlement activities. As the Director ofEverydayPaymentsyoull provide leadership and guidance in areas of payment services to both internal and external stakeholders and develop enhance and maintainthe strategic direction for retail e-transfersbusiness e-transfersElectronic Funds Transfers (EFTs)and the Real Time Rail(RTR).This includes direction on feature enhancements fraud/risk payments compliance with Interac and other industry compliance bodies such as Payments Canada SWIFTand othersin anticipation of and response tobusiness plans market trends and regulatory complianceensurealignment with broader CIBCstrategy & purpose.

How Youll Succeed
Business Management Develop purpose-driven client-focused objectives & strategic plans forEverydayPayment services aligned with EP strategy/Payments Modernization Program andthebroaderCIBCstrategy. Ensure plans exist to keep CIBC competitive ineveryday payment services facilitating efficient and robusttransaction processing and to remain compliantwithpolicies standards guidelines and risk tolerance of these services.Provide industry Subject Matter Expertise onmulti-stakeholder (internal and external groups)initiativesto deliver on plan priorities
IdentifyBusiness-Building Opportunities -Monitor market environment (consumer technology payment networks/associations standard-setting bodies new innovations competition and government/regulatory agencies)andinternalreporting and insights exist against strategic and existing payment service operational objectivesto understand the impact ofchange. Assess the long-term viability of identified opportunities to maintain or improve CIBCs competitive position. Ensure comprehensive competitive information on market penetration product capabilities and initiativesaremaintained.Build support to develop new features services and/or products specifically tailored to market segments aligning with CIBCs strategic direction of being an innovative bank.
Subject Matter Expert Build subject matter expertise around industry mandates (Payments Canada SWIFT Interac etc.)becominga go-to expert in newand existingPayment rulesregulations and mandates.Represent CIBCpositionsatindustrytablesbuilding a trustedbrancdandreputationacross the industry.
Relationship BuildingMeet business objectives by building relationships and working effectively with Product Technology Risk and other lines of business partners and vendors.
