JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a part-time ADST (Applied Design Skills and Technology) Teacher to join our teaching staff for the school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for engaging students in ADST and will work collaboratively with staff in a faith-based learning community.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach assigned ADST courses (e.g. Information & Communications Technology Business Education Drafting/Design or related areas depending on expertise and scheduling needs).
- Create engaging and practical learning experiences that foster student creativity innovation and the development of applied skills.
- Assess and report on student learning consistent with Ministry of Education and school policies.
- Participate actively in the broader life of the school and support its Catholic mission.
- Collaborate with colleagues staff and administration to ensure student success.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility).
- Strong background or post-secondary training in ADST subject areas.
- Demonstrated classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to Catholic education and support of the mission and values of CISVA.
- Ability to contribute to a collaborative and student-centred learning environment.

On an on-going basis we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics non-Catholics new education grads and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
