JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a part-time ADST (Applied Design Skills and Technology) Teacher to join our teaching staff for the school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for engaging students in ADST and will work collaboratively with staff in a faith-based learning community.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned ADST courses (e.g. Information & Communications Technology Business Education Drafting/Design or related areas depending on expertise and scheduling needs).
  • Create engaging and practical learning experiences that foster student creativity innovation and the development of applied skills.
  • Assess and report on student learning consistent with Ministry of Education and school policies.
  • Participate actively in the broader life of the school and support its Catholic mission.
  • Collaborate with colleagues staff and administration to ensure student success.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility).
  • Strong background or post-secondary training in ADST subject areas.
  • Demonstrated classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to Catholic education and support of the mission and values of CISVA.
  • Ability to contribute to a collaborative and student-centred learning environment.

All Catholics non-Catholics new education grads and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
