Overview
Civil Engineering Intern - Frisco TX
Westwood Professional Services Inc.
Westwood Professional Services Inc.is seekinga Civil Engineering Intern to join our Land Development team in our Frisco TX office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks
- Project research field work observation and preliminary design calculations
- Take personal responsibility for quality of tasks performed
- Uses CAD to prepare and check working drawings details layouts and estimates
- Performs routine analysis to check accuracy of data and work products
- Assist in the preparation of exhibits plot plans lot fits or other similar tasks by discipline
Required Skills
- Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
- Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs
- Basic knowledge of the firms policies practices and procedures
- Basic knowledge of software required for position
- Good organizational skills
- Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations
Required Experience
- Currently working towardcompletion of a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
