Position Summary
The Department of Computer Science at CSUF invites applications for its Student Assistant position. The department is seeking a reliable and organized student assistant to support the front office. This role is ideal for students who are detail-oriented enjoy helping others and want to gain valuable experience in a professional academic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work
- Greet and assist students faculty and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer phones respond to emails and provide general department information
- Assist with filing data entry photocopying and scanning documents
- Maintain office organization and inventory of supplies
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion
- Perform other clerical tasks as assigned by department staff or faculty
Required Qualifications
- Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student
- In good academic standing and obtains at least a 2.5 or higher
- Eligible to work in the United States and can provide eligibility documents
