Perform all accounts payable functions for Area 1 The Americas (USA Canada Mexico Colombia Ecuador Brazil Chile Argentina etc.) This includes processing and revision of invoices (PO and Non-PO) revision of tax calculations and withholdings set up of new vendors approval invoices for payments according to contract provisions booking into SAP system proper filing etc.
Review read and understand rate contracts and agreements.
Coordinate and assist local accountants and local legal representatives with the information for monthly tax filings VAT refunds tax withholdings income tax advances and other financial matters as required by reach country always in compliance with each country regulations.
Assist with Receivables functions if needed
Other clerical administrative and financial duties
Essential Requirements For The Position:
1 to 3 years of experience in accounting finance business receivables and/or payables
Education may be substituted for years of experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Team player
Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience in SAP and/or any other accounting software preferred
Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese is not required but is a plus
Working Conditions:
The position holder is based in Houston Texas.
The position demands a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned so as to avoid conflicting with service needs.
Flexibility may be needed with working hours. The position holder shall keep informed their line manager on their whereabouts and the means of telecommunications through which they will be reachable for urgent company needs while on company mission.
