RPO Recruitments client a reputable firm in the civil engineering and infrastructure sector in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Civil Engineer or Technologist who is ECSA registered to support a growing portfolio of infrastructure projects.
Newly registered professionals are encouraged to apply provided they have the technical proficiency and drive to deliver high-quality design and project management services.
Responsibilities:
- Road Design: Geometric and pavement design for urban and rural roads
- Stormwater Design: Hydrological assessments and stormwater management systems
- Pipeline Design: Water sewer and stormwater pipeline layout and specification
- Project Management: Coordination of resources timelines and deliverables across multiple project stages
- Preparation of engineering drawings specifications and technical reports
- Liaison with clients contractors and local authorities
- Site inspections to ensure adherence to design standards and contract specifications
Requirements:
- BSc/BEng or BTech degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the engineering consulting sector
- Registered with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng (recent registrations welcome)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or other civil design software
- Understanding of South African design standards municipal guidelines and project lifecycle processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites
- Exposure to municipal infrastructure projects
- Ability to work across multiple project teams
- Familiarity with tender documentation and contract administration processes
