Job Summary/Description:
Gray Media is looking for a Digital Content Producer to join our team for a new daily talk show focused on health and consumer issues surrounding aging. This M-F show will air on Gray Medias broadcast and digital platforms. This is a new show being developed by Gray Media and an opportunity to join a team producing the next wave of syndicated programming for the company. This will NOT be a newscast. The ideal Digital Content Producer will have a background in journalism and be a creative writer able to publish content to all multimedia and social platforms. Organization and creative problem-solving are a must. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and must thrive in a deadline-driven environment. This position is based in Atlanta GA.
The Digital Content Producer will be responsible for publishing video and written content to all digital and social platforms for the new project. The producer will work with the Executive Producer and Producers to ensure editorial standards are met.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Work with the Executive Producer and producers to write and publish content on digital and social platforms
* Responsible for maintenance of mobile apps social media website and CTV
* Responsible for maintaining a robust social media audience and engagement using platforms such as Facebook Instagram Threads X and TikTok
* Responsible for publishing Podcasts
* Responsible for publishing to the YouTube channel
* Responsible for publishing to FAST channels
* Know and use all available tools to create content for all platforms
* Work with the editorial team to ensure daily journalistic standards are being executed on all digital platforms
* Maintain best practices for publishing content on all digital platforms
* Participate in editorial/planning meeting
* Other duties as assigned by the Executive Producer
Qualifications/Requirements:
* 5 years of experience as a digital content producer in a top 100 market
* Background in digital writing preferred
* Experience in Mobile App management preferred
* Experience in YouTube page management preferred
* Understanding of digital CMS production and the ability to learn Arc as well as new systems as they are implemented
* Proficiency in Windows-based electronics and the ability to learn ENPS as well as new systems as they are implemented
* Proficiency in BitCentral as well as new systems as they are implemented
* The ability to interact professionally and effectively with Gray management at the station and corporate level
* Strong editorial judgment
* Motivated self-starter who is detail-oriented
* BS/BA in Journalism/Communications or equivalent background
* Flexibility with travel and work schedules
* Must be willing to live in Atlanta GA DMA
* Remote work is a possibility
* Must be 18 years or Older
