Position: Industrial Designer II (multiple positions available)
Location: Nashville TN
Multiple Positions Available:
design and implement complex high-volume direct-to consumer fulfillment processes systems and facilities for capacity expansion and continuous improvement of worldwide fulfillment infrastructure throughout the large-scale supply chain network.
technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects.
Process Improvement methodologies to analyze Fulfillment Center processes and equipment and recommend and implement improvements to safety procedures work processes and labor standards.
and coordinate design efforts between internal teams and outside vendors to develop optimal solutions for the network including equipment specification material flow process design and site layout.
capital projects and create conceptual drawings equipment specifications and bid documentation to facilitate a competitive bid environment.
and enforce project schedules and quality with vendors or subcontractors. Inspect facilities in accordance with corporate standards and procedures relating to material handling processing and storage.
and manage budget and contract documents including Requests for Proposals change order controls purchase orders and invoicing.
with local site management to ensure proper operator training procedural compliance maintenance and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment.
travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be required
A Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Logistics Computer Science Business Administration/Management Math or related discipline and 1 year of experience in job offered or industrial engineering operations engineering manufacturing engineering logistics engineering or project engineering related occupation in a manufacturing the alternative employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Logistics Computer Science Business Administration/Management Math or related discipline followed by 5 progressively responsible years of experience in job offered or industrial engineering operations engineering manufacturing engineering logistics engineering or project engineering related occupation in a manufacturing environment.
Experience must include:
1.1 year of experience in High-volume direct-to-consumer fulfillment processes and operations.
2.1 year of experience using AutoCAD or related project management software to build concepts for manufacturing processes and related facility concepts (material handling equipment optimization and strategic layout planning).
3.1 year of experience using analytical tools to design statistical data charts and graphs related to facility concepts including material handling equipment optimization and simulation and strategic plant layout design and planning.
4.1 year of experience leading cross-functional operations engineering or supply chain projects using Lean Process Improvement/Six Sigma methodologies performance metrics or related processes to increase efficiency within manufacturing or supply chain processes.
5.1 year of experience reporting and presenting engineering analysis and recommendations to senior management on process improvements.
