Finance Coordinator

Position Overview
The Finance Coordinator will assist with administrative functions related to the processing of accounts payable transactions as well as general ledger and revenue team support. This individual will report to the Assistant Corporate Controller.
Responsibilities include:
Accounts Payable
- Review code process and post all vendor invoices accurately
- Interact with vendors as needed to resolve pricing and/or quantity discrepancies
- Review employee expense reports for compliance with policies including proper receipts documentation and manager signature approval
- Process employee expense reimbursement requests
- Maintain and close all finance requests via NetSuite/OpenAir
- Generate and process weekly check runs
- Prepare year end 1099 reports and file electronically
- Research resolve and respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner
Revenue
- Support business team with client fee reconciliation reports
- Analyzing and entering project cost transfers for hours and out of pocket expenses
- Monitoring agency accounts receivable and apply daily cash receipts
- Maintaining project billing data within BGB project financial application
General Ledger
- Assist with month end close including journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Analyzing new business investments and measuring ROI
- Assist with the back-end administration of our financial application system (NetSuite)
- Prepare Ad hoc reports and work on other accounting projects as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree is required; concentration in Finance/Accounting preferred
- 1-2 years of prior accounting experience is a plus
- Must be a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint); experience with accounting/billing software a plus
Salary range: $50000 - $60000 overtime eligible
The salary provided is for the NYC-hybrid position which requires occasional in-office presence and represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. For candidates in other locations salary will be adjusted to reflect local market rates. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit including experience (both direct and indirect) education training demonstrated qualifications and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
