Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Cook to join our culinary team at the Hotel Name Marriott in the Bistro area. The Cook will play a key role in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that reflect the excellent and exceptional service guests have come to expect from Marriott. Key Responsibilities: - Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items to Marriotts standards ensuring consistency quality and presentation in every dish.
- Menu Execution: Follow standardized recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and portion control.
- Kitchen Operations: Maintain cleanliness organization and safety in the kitchen by adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Customer Service: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure that meals are delivered in a timely and efficient manner meeting customer expectations.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management ensuring proper storage of ingredients and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaboration: Work as part of a team to foster a positive work environment supporting fellow staff members and assisting with kitchen tasks as needed.
- Special Events: Assist in the preparation and service of special menus or events hosted by the Bistro such as brunches holiday specials and private dining events.
Qualifications: - Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary role preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques kitchen equipment and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment while maintaining excellent food quality.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as required.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A passion for cooking and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
