The Associate Director Asia Pacific Channel VSL is the Value Stream leader accountable for the execution and support of products and services for all commercial aviation customers in the IATA 3 Asia Pacific region. They are also responsible for working closely with the Sales and Business Development teams in support customer acquisition. This position directly leads multiple teams and leads a Program Management Team (PMT) accountable for managing sales to revenue conversion contract lifecycle cost schedule performance on-time delivery and customer satisfaction of programs and services across a range of Connected Aviation connectivity software as a service (SaaS) and data services products delivered to commercial aviation airline customers in the region. They are a key customer facing representative in the region and responsible for executing to an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP). The position is ultimately responsible for delivering business results and driving customer focus.

Job Description

  • Lead a large team that owns the execution of long-term strategy and operational direction for all Commercial Aviation (predominantly airline) customers in the IATA 3 Asia Pacific region.
  • Face and resolve complex problems that may require extensive critical thinking investigation and analysis as well as sufficient technical understanding of Connected Aviation connectivity SaaS and data products and services.
  • Establish and implement short- mid- and long-term strategies with significant impact on the achievement of business results and customer satisfaction. May require substantial development or improvement processes standards or operational plans leveraging the RTX CORE operating system and the RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) management system.
  • Deliver P&L comprising all products and services delivered to commercial aviation customers in IATA 3.
  • Improve processes systems and organization by leveraging the CORE operating system past experiences industry best practices and in-depth understanding of market and customers that result in improvement of the competitive position of the organization.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to implement changes that may be transformational or have broad impact on the achievement of results for the organization
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including team members other functional organizations other Collins SBUs and most importantly customers
  • Represent the face of the organization to customers and industry within area of responsibility.
  • Manage key in-region business partners
  • Manage multiple teams and the development of people across the organization including hiring firing staffing plans coaching and developing talent and succession planning.
  • Channel customer feedback and market knowledge into Product teams to drive customer focus.
  • Support annual AOP and LRP planning cycles.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure the Sales plan is delivered to support the AOP and LRP revenue commitments.
  • Execute multiple services projects and large programs on time on budget and within scope while achieving customer satisfaction KPIs.

Requirements

  • Relentless customer focus

  • Technical understanding of the connectivity SaaS and/or data services preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering business results

  • Ability to work in a high volume multi-context environment
  • Ability to manage large complex teams and build a successful team culture
