Role: Team Leader Residential (Deputy Manager)

Location:Headington Oxon

Salary: 31100 per annum (dependant on qualifications and experience) Plus 700 on call allowance. 37 hours a week.

Contract/Hours: Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2026 Full Time 37 hours a week

About the Service:

Viking House is an overnight 6 bedded short break residential service suitable for children and young people up to the age of 18 years of age with physical and/or learning disabilities to include complex health and behavioural care needs.

We work to reduce the impact of the disability on the childs day to day life by providing support for them to participate make choices enjoy new experiences make friendships and be part of their local community. At the same time parents and carers can have a much-needed break knowing their child is in a safe fun and enriching environment.

You will lead a team of support workers who are supporting the children with their day-to-day personal needs. Working with your team and the children to assess individual needs to develop tailored care plans. You will help to maintain a safe and fun environment for both staff and children within the home and whilst out and about in the community.

About the role:

We are looking for a Team Leader to manage andleada team ofresidentialprofessionalsand other staff as directed in thedeliveryof a 24-hour rota (includingmanagementof shifts). You will also Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.

You will be passionate committed and resilient we will be honest the role can at sometimes be emotionally and physically challenging but its also fun and diverse. You will feel a huge sense of reward by being able to help in the best way possible If this all sounds ideal then you are exactly who we are looking for.

You will helpourYoungPeople by:

  • Building positive relationships by providing emotional supporttoyoungpeople with challengingemotionaland socialdifficulties.
  • Taking the lead with case/care planningmanagement.
  • Carrying out regular reviews of young peoples care notes ofsupport.
  • Supervising supporting and training the staff team/volunteers.
  • Personal care administration of medication and clinical procedures.
  • Supporting all aspects of the childrens care health and wellbeing.
  • Going to EHC meetings also reviewssafeguarding conferences and court work.
  • Deputising in the managers absence.

Lets talk about your skills and what we need:

  • A minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce Social Care Pathway/Residential Care or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory/managementrole.
  • Experience in managing andprioritising work.
  • Acommitment to going that extra mile.
  • Experience of working with childrenwithchallenging behavioural emotional and complex needs.
  • An excellent understanding ofsafeguarding.
