About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled UI/UX Designer with proven experience in designing corporate websites for financial institutions (banks wealth management credit unions or insurance firms). The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on designer adept at collaborating with business stakeholders understanding complex user needs and translating them into intuitive modern and impactful digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct in-depth stakeholder interviews to capture business objectives regulatory considerations and brand positioning.
- User Research & Strategy:
- Identify and segment target audiences.
- Plan and conduct user interviews to understand behavior motivations and pain points.
- Develop personas and customer journey maps to guide design decisions.
- Translate research findings into information architecture wireframes and low-fidelity mockups.
- Deliver high-fidelity prototypes with attention to detail accessibility and responsive behavior.
- Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with developers content strategists and marketing teams to ensure seamless design handoff and implementation.
- Design Consistency: Maintain adherence to brand guidelines while incorporating best practices in UI/UX for financial services.
- Usability Testing: Conduct usability sessions analyze findings and iterate designs to improve customer engagement and conversion.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven Experience: 7 years of UI/UX design with a portfolio showcasing corporate websites of financial institutions or similarly complex compliance-driven industries.
- Research Expertise: Skilled in conducting stakeholder interviews user interviews persona development and journey mapping.
- Design Tools: Proficiency with Figma Sketch Adobe XD or similar tools.
- Prototyping & Testing: Strong experience in creating low- and high-fidelity mockups clickable prototypes and conducting usability tests.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory and trust-building design considerations in financial services (e.g. accessibility security reassurance information clarity).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication ability to simplify complexity and confidence in presenting concepts to C-level stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing transactional portals or client dashboards in addition to corporate websites.
- Understanding of SEO analytics and performance optimization in design.
- Exposure to agile/scrum environments with cross-functional collaboration.
