Job Description
Best Line Equipment is currently seeking a Class B CDL Driver at our State College PA location. The position is responsible for the safe transport of equipment to and from customer sites as well as other locations within the company.
Job Overview:
- Transport equipment throughout the company and to customers.
- Work with customers in solving equipment needs.
- Load and unload equipment (may involve climbing ladders walking on top of vehicles and moving equipment).
- Inspect loads before departure to ensure the equipment is secure for safe travel.
- Reconcile truck shipping and loading documents including DOT documents (i.e. Logbook and Pre-trip Inspection Sheets).
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid CDL-B or CDL-A drivers license.
- Ability to pass DOT physical exam.
- Knowledge of equipment weights and dimensions as well as capabilities of our vehicles and equipment.
- A minimum of one to three years driving experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to sit for 30 minutes to 2 hours while driving ability to stand for 30 minutes to 1 hour while loading/unloading vehicle and the ability to walk to and from the vehicle (50 to 300 feet at one time).
Job Type: Full-time with a rotating on-call schedule
Pay Range: $23/hr. - $27/hr. (dependent on experience)
