Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting in localizing tumors participates in treatment planning and delivering high doses of ionizing radiation treatment to patients in accordance with prescription and instructions from Radiation Oncologists under direction of the Manager of Radiation accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity the Senior Radiation Therapist is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- Three (3) to five (5) years combined experience in healthcare industry
- Associate of Science degree in Radiation Therapy technology from an accredited
- Minimum five (5) years experience as a Staff Radiation Therapist in a Radiation Oncology Clinic in a community hospital or free standing facility
- Minimum three (3) years as Staff Radiation Therapist in a teaching University Medical Center
- Registered Radiation Therapy Technologist: CA (RRTT:CA)
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR)
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
Preferred:
- One (1) to two (2) years experience with a minimum of one (1) year in a related field
