Ergon Inc. is seeking an IE Supervisor to join our Corporate Maintenance team in Flowood MS. The IE Supervisor leads the IE division providing support to the electrical automation and instrumentation infrastructure across the Ergon network. This position supports the development implementation and ongoing management of operational systems policies and procedures related to IE service. The position must work closely with other Maintenance Shop Supervisors and Fired Equipment Supervisors to share resources and effectively support the national Ergon footprint.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in troubleshooting repairing and servicing industrial electrical systems and instrumentation or a bachelors degree in business management engineering or a construction-related field with a minimum of 4 years of Industrial experience is required.
- Requires a self-motivated individual with strong leadership communication and organization skills. Collaboration and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Must be a creative and strategic thinker be able to identify others strengths inspire and motivate others and maintain a customer focus.
- The person chosen must be physically able to work in a job-site environment for extended periods including lifting to 50lbs bending squatting climbing ladders climbing stairs crouching and reaching and must be physically able to work in extreme conditions including heavy rain wind or excessive temperatures.
- Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance Microsoft Windows Word Excel and Outlook
- Able to receive and give feedback and constructive criticism from a variety of channels
- Must have a drivers license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen background check and MVR.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain vision strategy and goals of the department.
- Establish/maintain an inspection preventative maintenance and service program for IE infrastructure across the network.
- Develop job profiles training requirements and performance expectations for IE
- Provides supervision and direction to IE Techs to ensure the delivery of high-quality service.
- Interpret and seek total compliance with all OSHA state and federal regulations pertaining to IE activities.
- Build and update weekly work schedules to meet the maintenance needs of the business units.
- Ensure people and parts are coordinated to accomplish planned and unplanned maintenance jobs.
- Manage and analyze IE equipment inspection and failure records and implement further action as necessary to prevent repeated failures.
- Develop and manage spare parts and equipment inventory to support critical IE infrastructure in the network.
- Manage compliance programs and audits of equipment such as electrical tools ARC flash PPE etc.
- Drive and grow safety programs to promote safe work practices and a culture that prioritizes safety.
- Communicate with and provide technical support for business units. Be on call as needed to support breakdown failures and coordinate CMx resources.
- Collaborate with the Automation division within the engineering department to provide feedback and commissioning for new installations.
- Engage with the Automation division when necessary to support the IE infrastructure.
- Work with Operations to evaluate and identify preventative maintenance support needs on a plant-specific basis.
- Interview hire and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees.
- Duties such as parts receiving generating POs and invoice payment.
- Manage equipment in SAP by building new SAP files gathering data for equipment information and updating the location of equipment as work orders are completed.
- Promote maintenance/continuous improvement best practice initiatives and goals for application in the field.
- Identify inefficiencies and promote areas where improvements can be made such as 5S activities equipment/tool evaluation data tracking etc.
- Implementation and ongoing management of MaintainX in daily operations to manage spare parts inventory work orders procedures and compliance programs.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of work orders in SAP/MaintainX/Work Order Dashboard from initiation to completion.
- Promote a positive can-do attitude to all co-workers and customers. Help promote a company culture that encourages high performance and engagement.
- Promote a good culture of teamwork and understanding.
- Available for out-of-town and overnight assignments.
- Other miscellaneous maintenance duties as requested.
