As a Field Service Technician youll be responsible for servicing and maintaining CNC machinery at customer sites across the South East of England. Youll carry out preventative maintenance diagnose mechanical issues and make sure every machine is performing at its peak. With full product training provided youll quickly become the go-to expert in your area enjoying the satisfaction of keeping your customers production running smoothly without being away from home for long stretches.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on CNC machinery to minimise downtime
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults quickly and effectively
- Replace adjust and align mechanical components to meet specification
- Conduct inspections and complete detailed service reports
- Provide basic operator guidance to customers following maintenance visits
- Liaise with the technical support team when additional expertise is required
- Maintain tools equipment and service vehicle to high standards
- Travel to customer sites within your local patch with minimal overnight stays
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements
Skills and Experience
- Strong mechanical engineering background ideally within maintenance or service roles
- Hands-on experience with machinery lathes or other mechanical equipment (CNC experience beneficial but not essential)
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable travelling within a local patch and engaging with customers on-site
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional approach with good communication skills
- Electrical or product knowledge is not required full training will be provided
Pay and Benefits
- Salary up to 30000 depending on experience
- OTE circa 37000 with bonuses
- Monday to Friday 39 hours per week
- Company car (BMW 330e or similar)
- Annual company performance bonus
- Monthly bonus paid per machine sold
- Up to 6% matched pension contribution
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
