The Opportunity
For our International Finance Division we are currently looking for an experienced individual to join our great team in Czechia as a Senior Accountant.
This is a stationary full-time position and requires daily presence in our office in Prague (Praha 6).
Senior Accountant will perform various accounting functions and activities in close cooperation with Accounting Supervisor/Chief Accountant and in compliance with accounting standards and procedures.
What Youll do:
- Post journal entries and accruals.
- Perform reconciliation of all balance sheet account items.
- Review and book travel expense reports and invoices.
- Review and reconcile all intercompany transaction.
- Assist with annual audit preparations.
- Prepare tax returns VAT reports and withholding tax reports.
- Prepare monthly and yearly statistics.
- Guide and provide support and expertise to junior members of the team.
- Participate in financial standards and policies setting.
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
- Be focused on accounting and tax compliance.
- Perform other accounting duties in cooperation with Accounting Supervisor.
Required qualifications & background:
- Masters degree in accounting or finance required.
- 3 years of accounting experience.
- Competency in accounting and tax area.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly with Excel.
- Native Czech is a must.
- Good knowledge of English language.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work with little or without any guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within the company.
- Stress management skills and ability to prioritize work.
