Production Associate - 2nd Shift

Who Are We

Our San Antonio Texas distribution center charges packages and ships the batteries used in cars boats motorcycles and heavy-duty trucks. We opened in 1995 now employ more than 265 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through Toys for Tots The Strong Foundation and Soldiers Angels.

Primary Duties:

• Decorate batteries according to customer requirements.
• Stack batteries on/off the assembly line
• Able to retrieve specs from computer terminal.
• Maintains adequate decoration stock on line.
• Stack off rejects to pallet. Palletize batteries to customer requirements utilizing SAP BES procedures and equipment maintaining accurate production counts and filling customer orders as complete as possible.
• Participates in developing and improving Standard Work Practices for each area and consistently reviews them for effectiveness through team meetings and practice.
• Service equipment washer and dryer as necessary. Clean or wipe batteries as needed. Repair posts on batteries as needed.
• Keep work area clean and orderly clean machines and area per shift and perform regular preventative maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• This position is eligible for shift differential and incentive pay

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred not required.
• 6 months of recent manufacturing experience needed.
• Must be able to perform basic math functions.
• Must be comfortable working in a hot environment.
• Comfortable with work overtime as needed along with potential working weekends.
