What to expect:
- Perform routine vehicle inspection maintenance diagnostics repairs and parts handling/inventory. Routine vehicle maintenance includes tire mounting rotate and balance oil change lube etc.
- Assist with troubleshoot diagnosis and replacement of mechanical and electrical/electronic parts (assemblies sub-assemblies or individual parts).
- Maintain automotive tools and equipment as well as a safe and clean work environment. Document activities repairs and support.
- Follow automotive maintenance manuals guidelines and procedures.
- Assist in parts and supplies handling organization and inventory control.
- Assess workshop requirements for parts and supplies and compile ordering information.
What you bring along:
- 2-5 years of mechanic experience
- Basic hand tool experience
- Experience performing tire mounting and balancing and oil changes
- High school diploma is required
- Understanding of electronic electrical hydraulic and mechanical systems tools and equipment.
- Knowledge ability and hands-on experience in routine automotive diagnostic and repair work.
- Previous experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles CAN FlexRay LIN and Monaco and Xentry diagnostic tools.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new automotive concepts and applications
- Proficient computer skills including Windows Operating System and Linux
- Valid US drivers license
- High voltage electrical training and background (preferred)
- Responsible ethical diligent reliable and proactive work ethic
- Collaborative team player
- Problem solving clear and concise verbal and written communication. Detail oriented. Must be able to perform physical tasks on vehicles.
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Prior experience working as a Mercedes Benz Technician highly preferred. Experience with MB diagnostics systems preferred.
- ASE Certifications highly preferred
- Any automotive vocational training or dealership training is preferred
- German language skills (preferred but not required)
