Security Architect Cyber IAM (Identity & Access Management)
About the client:
Our client is a major consultancy supporting digital transformation across critical infrastructure sectors. This role contributes to the Cyber IAM Squad within the Electricity Networks program focusing on secure identity architecture and compliance.
About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled IAM Security Architect to lead the design implementation and optimisation of enterprise IAM solutions. Youll work closely with IT security and business teams to ensure IAM systems meet regulatory and organisational requirements while supporting operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect secure IAM solutions aligned with best practices and compliance standards.
- Develop system architecture diagrams including data flows network topologies and security controls.
- Conduct security risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Define and maintain IAM security policies standards and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with NIST ISO 27001 COBIT and internal policies.
- Provide technical guidance across the SDLC and mentor junior security professionals.
- Implement security controls such as MFA RBAC and SSO.
- Evaluate and select IAM technologies based on security and scalability.
- Support incident response digital forensics and security testing activities.
- Drive continuous improvement of IAM security posture and processes.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 7 years in IAM with 3 years in security architecture or consulting.
- Proven experience designing and optimising IAM solutions in large-scale environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement across IT security and business teams.
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge of IAM security principles and regulatory frameworks (GDPR HIPAA NIST COBIT).
- Proficiency in architecture tools (Visio Lucidchart ) and scripting languages (Python PowerShell JavaScript).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with IAM platforms such as Active Directory Azure AD Okta.
- Familiarity with SOAR tools and SIEM systems.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and audit readiness.
Whats on offer
This is a 12-month contract role commencing 29 September 2025 based in Perth. Youll lead strategic IAM architecture initiatives within a high-impact infrastructure program.
