Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Paralegalto join our team in our Cleveland office.
The ideal candidate will assist in managing administrative tasks maintaining communication with clients and stakeholders and supporting attorneys within the practice group. This role requires excellent communication skills proficiency in office software and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain multiple case dockets including scheduling tracking deadlines preparing evidence submissions communicating with witnesses and maintaining digital case files
- Draft legal documents including motions praecipe pretrial statements etc.
- Manage case discovery docket including drafting responses to interrogatories.
- Monitor and process decisions. Draft and process appeals where necessary.
- Monitor and distribute new case law issued from relevant courts/tribunals.
- Assist with administrative functions during Ohio assessment review period
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:
- Law firm experience required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of administrative office experience.
- Real estate/appraisal knowledge or experience considered a plus
- Paralegal certificate a plus.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform light work including occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
- Work primarily in a typical office setting.
- Willingness to work more than 35 hours per week during busy periods with mandatory full-time office presence during specific periods.
Hybrid Work Model:
During the training period the role requires full-time office attendance for five days a week. After completion the position will transition to a hybrid schedule with two days remote and three days in the office.
