The Senior Manager implements Thermo Fisher Scientifics PPI Business System with leadership to drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction finance people and quality. This role will develop lean expertise across all levels and support multiple teams in standardizing our Business System. As part of the PPI Steering Committee youll streamline processes improve customer experience drive profitable growth and boost efficiency.

A Day in the life

  • Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with the site leadership team to identify chances for enhancing the business.
  • Site Engagement: Champion an action-biased culture of continuous improvement to improve critical metrics in the areas of customer finance people and quality.
  • Developing Talent: Provide support to develop lean expertise and capability within the organization at all levels.
  • PPI Business System: Provide ongoing Lean support to multiple teams. Work with the expanded team to develop/promote/standardize the Business System further.
  • PPI Steering Committee: Focus on enhancing opportunities and crafting a plan for site deployment. Collaborate with functional teams to streamline processes improving customer experience driving profitable growth and boosting efficiency.
  • Daily Tiered Management: Improve the decision-making model and problem-solving capabilities within teams to increase autonomy and the pace of change.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelors degree in engineering science operations business or related field required or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • 5 years of leadership experience
  • 7 years of Lean leadership expertise with extensive experience implementing successful continuous improvement-based business systems including elements such as:
    • Lean Management System
    • Strategy Deployment and Value-Stream Mapping
    • Kaizen events on standard work cell design process and product 3P Value-Analysis/Value Engineering error-proofing material flow Heijunka and Kanban.
  • Prior experience in people management experience.
  • Expertise in problem-solving applying a formal program/process.
  • Strong experience developing training and coaching teams.
  • Evidence of identifying and delivering year-over-year results.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Broad knowledge of multi-functional multi-site global processes and financial business methods.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with and positively influence leadership and all levels of the organization.
  • Able to drive critical thinking and continuous improvement in both non-operational and operational areas including connecting the cross-functional resources to remove waste along the extended value streams.
  • Ability to travel 10-25%

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $118100.00$165000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes:
