The Opportunity:
The WSU Foundation builds on the enthusiasm pride and loyalty of the Cougar family to grow philanthropic relationships broaden the base of alumni and donor engagement and responsibly manage assets to advance WSUs mission vision and goals.
As the Assistant Director Donor Relations for the WSU Foundation you will assist in developing and executing comprehensive and effective donor relations and stewardship programs with a focus on developing and maintaining retention of donors that enhance theWSUFoundation donor base. As a critical member of theWSUFoundation you will be responsible for managing communication with donors ensuring accuracy in scholarship recipient impact and endowment reporting thoughtfully acknowledging donors and supporting cross-campus stewardship efforts. You will also assist with events donor relations stewardship and communication tactics across theWSUFoundation including other administrative/operational tasks in support of donor will report to the Director of Donor Relations & Stewardship. Please note that evening and weekend hours may be needed.

This is a full-time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
*This position is located in Pullman WA and may be eligible for a remote or hybrid schedule*
Monthly Salary: $4508.70 to $6763.06 In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position. Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to organize work priorities and work independently as well as in a team.
Ability to review interpret and explain policies.
Ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues other university units and external constituents.
Demonstrated skill with attention to detail including checking reports communication and data for accuracy.
Proven ability to use discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Highly developed Microsoft Office skills specifically Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in higher education.
Experience working with fundraising and/or 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.
Knowledge of philanthropy donor relations and stewardship.
Experience working closely with donors and/or volunteers.
Experience customizing communication templates.
Experience with databases and data analysis.
Strong proofreading and copy-editing skills.
