We are seeking a Principal Cloud Architect with a unique blend of hands-on technical proficiency and strategic architectural leadership specifically focused on mission-critical Federal and Intelligence Community (IC) programs. This role demands a seasoned professional who can lead enterprise-grade cloud solutioning engage directly with senior government stakeholders and deliver measurable business and mission value.
This position is based out of our Reston Virginia Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bridge cloud engineering and business strategy to deliver secure scalable and high-performance cloud solutions that support national security objectives.
- Build and maintain strong trusted relationships across client and partner organizations ensuring solution relevance and longevity.
- Support the sales team in pre-sales activities including proposal development presentations and solution demonstrations.
- Act as a liaison between the client and internal technical teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers and support staff ensuring timely and successful project delivery through technical guidance and collaboration.
- Stay updated on cloud technologies industry trends and best practices to provide innovative and forward-thinking solutions.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and uncover additional business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of progressive IT experience including 5 years in a senior or principal cloud architecture role.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure systems integration and Enterprise deployments.
- Proven experience in migrating and integrating complex enterprise systems to cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles compliance and data protection.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Google Cloud Professional Architect) preferred.
- Active Top Secret SCI security clearance required

These considerations include but are not limited to contracted rates education certification(s) experience specific competencies required for this position and geographic location.
