Job Summary:
The Systems Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon responsible for defining customer needs functional and product architecture requirements definition and decomposition Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) system performance and System Security Engineering (SSE).
This position is an onsite rolein Aurora CO
This position can be a Junior Senior or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidates qualifications and standing as outlined below:
- (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
- (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
- (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship.
What You Will Do:
Responsibilities include supporting the test and evaluations of our products including but not limited to:
- Support planning and execution of Integration Verification or Flight Test activities in our labs in the field or at a test range
- Test event support activity may require travel which is not expected to exceed 15%
- Support qualification of our products
- Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
- Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations including the use of analysis tools such as MATLAB
- Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
Qualifications You Must Have:
- This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelors (or higher) Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree program and will be at minimum entering their Junior year by the start of summer 2026
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Academic or internship experience that included hands-on testing of electronic equipment
- Exposure to troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting or as part of a hobby
- Exposure to data analysis using tools such as MATLAB
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Specific majors: Systems Engineering or related scientific or STEM discipline
- 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher
- Proficient use of both Windows and UNIX platform
- Experience with Perl Python VBA and/or other scripting languages
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Previous internship experience

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
