Position Summary:
As aPre-Service Specialist you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience at Saint Joseph Health System. Working in a collaborative environment you will support clinical operations by verifying insurance benefits securing authorizations and facilitating pre-registration processesall while delivering exceptional customer service.
What You Will Do:
- Verify insurance eligibility benefits and authorization requirements
- Communicate with providers payers and patients to resolve billing and scheduling issues
- Pre-register patients and collect financial liabilities including co-pays and deductibles
- Validate medical necessity for Medicare and Non-Medicare cases
- Support scheduling documentation correction and reporting as needed
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business or healthcare preferred
- 35 years of experience in healthcare or insurance setting
- Working knowledge of third-party payer regulations and medical terminology
- CHAA certification preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to travel to patient access sites
