Job Description
Summary:
The Dean of Students (restructured position formally the Lead Teacher position) primary duties will be: Administering student discipline; leading the PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports) initiative; analyzing student achievement data; and providing professional development as it relates to classroom and school-wide management and facilitating the Judges IX program. The Dean of Students will also assist the principal and administrative staff in the development of the vision for school safety and discipline. This will also include identifying preventative measures such as student leadership development and improved school culture. The Dean of Students will report to the principal and will carry out other duties as assigned. This position will provide various leadership opportunities to be prepared for an assistant principal position.
Qualifications:
Possess a Virginia teaching license with more than three years of successful teaching experience at the high school level
Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop high credibility with assigned school principals and staff.
Possess strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Assist in developing and implementing professional development programs both at the school and division levels.
Knowledgeable of PBIS strategies.
Exhibit the capability and willingness to continue enhancement of skills and knowledge.
Ability to lead others work as a member of a team and facilitate learning.

Salary:
Range for 2025-2026 is $53000 to $82843 with additional supplemental pay for graduate degree and additional administrative stipend in the amount of $5000 as well as 5 extra days.
Workday:
Full time / 10 month (205 Days) position 7 hours per day Monday through Friday
