I. Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Employee Engagement will provide leadership and develop an implementation plan to ensure WM has a modern and intuitive employee experience. Focus on launching a comprehensive employee engagement strategy anchored by WMs Commitments and Values including but not limited to an annual engagement survey as well as partnership and development of tools and resources for operational leaders. This leader will ensure the employee engagement experience is consistently delivered and partner with Internal Communications to manage and execute the communications and programs that support it.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive an employee-centric focus across our HR offerings and enabling technology platforms to facilitate growth and retention.
  • Create and execute on strategy for multi-faceted employee engagement programs and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Partner with Internal Communications on a dynamic employee communication strategy that aligns to and supports the engagement strategy; provides content to communications for variety of stakeholders ranging from executives operational and functional leaders and the broader People Team.
  • Implement tools and processes to capture the voice of the employee in a modern and dynamic way - leveraging all forms of data collection across the employee lifecycle (including new hire surveys stay interviews exit surveys and engagement surveys) to inform strategy and programs.
  • Collaborate with our People Solutions Center team to surface critical insights for leaders; model and track success metrics to continuously improve engagement tools and programming as well as tying these insights to business outcomes.
  • Successfully build strong working relationships in a matrixed environment across key stakeholder groups such as People Team and business leaders as well as frontline employees and managers.


III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (accredited) in Human Resources Business Administration Data Science or similar area of study or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 7 years of previous experience in the field of Human Resources/Employee Relations or relevant area (in addition to education requirement)
  • 7 years of project/program management experience ideally in a geographically dispersed corporate and field operations environment.
  • 7 years Prior experience partnering with communications on delivering messages employees cant wait to read using engaging and creative communication tactics and media.
  • No experience Experience working with large global organizations with diverse employee demographics.
  • No experience Experience working in an Operations environment or industry (distribution logistics aviation contact/call centers etc.) driving improvements that have resulted in measurable business impact.
  • Must live and work in the US.

V. Benefits

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $126000 - $165000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates relevant experience education training certifications qualifications and work location.
