We are searching for a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of diagnostics repair hydraulics and electrical systems to keep our equipment running at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
Split work environment: 50% shop-based 50% yard/outdoor repairs
Diagnose troubleshoot and repair a variety of hydraulic electrical and engine malfunctions on heavy equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs according to manufacturers specifications.
Communicate effectively with the Shop Manager to verify diagnosis procure parts and confirm repair completion.
Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to all safety protocols.
Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest advancements in tooling technology and repair procedures.
Possess strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Effectively communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
Remove disassemble assemble and install components and parts.
Test and adjust engine and machine systems and components for optimal performance.
Completes all paperwork as necessary including but not limited to work orders parts requests timecards logs etc.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
Must-have tools.
Extensive knowledge of diesel engines hydraulic systems (including components like reservoirs pumps valves filters and hoses) pneumatics and electrical systems (including Ohms Law).
Electrical Hydraulic and HVAC systems certifications a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety.
Must have reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Must wear steel-toed boots.
Knowledge of DOT inspections Hydraulics & Air systems
Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks on conveyors and similar equipment.
Compensation:
Competitive pay range: $25 - $40 per hour (depending on experience)
