This Processing Assistant IV position in the Asheville Unit Office serves as receptionist for the office and is the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to the office. Effective communication with consumers employers and the public including but not limited to vocational rehabilitation clients with a variety of disabilities including physical and developmental disabilities and mental health and substance use disorders is key in this position. Duties also include providing support to regional personnel who periodically work in the satellite office.
Greeting visitors and callers courteously and professionally to include contact with staff vendors other departments and the public
Using a multi-line phone system to answer and route calls to the appropriate staff members
Completing billing processes for assigned staff
Receiving applications from clients along with requesting and obtaining medical/treatment records
Providing follow-up contacts with clients employers vendors and other agency personnel as needed
Documenting client information interactions and services into the case management system throughout the rehabilitation process
Utilizing office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet office needs
