Castle Employment Group is working with a well-established manufacturer in North Yorkshireto recruit a Quality Inspector/Production Quality Engineer to join our clients well-established machine shop team . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to play a key role in ensuring product quality and safety in a fast-paced process-driven environment.
What Youll Be Doing:
Carry out first-off batch final and roaming inspections.
Interpret and work with technical drawings and measurement equipment.
Identify non-conformances recommend corrective actions and support problem-solving activities.
Collaborate with the Engineering department to drive quality improvements.
Provide training and support to colleagues on quality standards and procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production.
Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements relevant to your role.
Who Were Looking For:
Previous experience in a quality or inspection role within manufacturing (machine shop experience advantageous).
The ability to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings.
A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
Confidence in working cross-functionally and suggesting improvements.
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise across departments.
A commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
