Job Summary

2025-2026Lunch and Recess MonitorsThe Southern Berkshire Regional School District has a vacancy for Two (2) Lunch and Recess Monitors for the 2025-2026 School monitors will monitor grade level lunches and recess duties Monday through Friday 2 hours per day. Key Responsibilities:Supervise students during lunch and recess times both indoors and outdoorsEnsure student safety and enforce school rules and expectationsPromote positive social interactions and inclusive play among studentsAssist students with opening lunch items and cleaning up after mealsMonitor cafeteria behavior and encourage respectful and responsible conductReport any injuries conflicts or behavioral concerns to appropriate school staffSupport conflict resolution between students in a calm and fair mannerHelp maintain a clean and organized lunch/recess environmentCommunicate effectively with students staff and administrationQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience working with children is highly desirableAbility to remain calm and responsive in a busy dynamic environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDependable punctual and professionalAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditionsWork Environment:Cafeteria school playground and indoor recess areasExposure to outdoor weather conditions (sun cold wind etc.)Salary Range $15.50-$17.50 per hour Submit letter of interest/resume to: Kate Retzel Elementary School Principal at Positions open until filled.
