Job Summary/Description:
WVIR-TV located in beautiful Charlottesville is looking for an experienced journalist to co-anchor our Monday-Friday sunrise newscast and solo anchor and produce the noon newscast. The right candidate will be engaging smart and hardworking with integrity and a team -anchor our weekday 4:30 am-7:00 am newscast anchor and produce our weekday 12:00-1:00 pm and host our weekday Morning Rush streaming segment from the 29News digital desk. Report special coverage as needed. Please note that the primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the information listed below.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Must meet deadlines and be able to multitask
- Strong work ethic
- Social Media involvement and knowledge
- Professional appearance

Qualifications/Requirements:
Anchoring and reporting experience. Producing Experience.
Effective on-camera interviewing ability
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to contribute in an on-camera and off-camera team environment
