PROGRAM MANAGER AREA X.O
INVEST OTTAWA - OPERATIONS
Reporting directly to the Senior Director Corporate Performance Management IT & Systems the Program Manager Area X.O is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects to ensure delivery aligns with contribution agreements. The Program Manager leads the monitoring and evaluation of the projects to assess progress targets/objectives compliance and budgets.
This position will be required to work onsite at Bayview Yards and Area X.O minimum 3-5 days per week. A personal vehicle is required for commuting as there is no access to public transit.
- Corporate Pay Band D: $72000 - $99000
- Hiring Salary Range: $81100 - $99000
- Reason for opening: A brand-new position due to new funding agreements
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Conducts regular project status reviews to assess achievement of project targets and budget
- Supports the AreaX.O team in monitoring project progress targets/objectives and compliance with contribution agreements
- Assists the AreaX.O and Finance teams in managing project budgets forecasts and claims in compliance with contribution agreements
- Functions as first point of contact for program administration related questions for internal teams partners and funders
- Evaluates proposed changes to scope budget and timelines for alignment with contribution agreement provisions and provides recommendations for decision-making
- Assists the AreaX.O team in identifying program related problems and risks; makes recommendations to ensure proposed corrective measures are following contribution agreements
- Contributes to the corporate annual objectives of operational excellence specifically in the design of processes related to programs and finance.
- Any other duties as assigned by their manager.
WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED/GAINED THROUGHOUT YOUR CAREER:
- University Undergraduate degree in Business Administration Commerce Education or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Professional Designation (Project Management) and/or a masters degree considered an asset
- Accounting or Financial Analysis experience considered an asset.
- Minimum 3-5years work experience in a government funded organization.
- Familiarity with integrating risk management practices into project management frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and funding agreements to inform program decisions
- Demonstrated experience managing several projects at once including proposal development and budget oversight.
- Collaborative team player with proven problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel) and CRM or project management software.
