As an Office Manager 2 you will support the work of 4 district offices. Once the candidate has been chosen they maybe be placed in one of the following Child Welfare offices: Boardman Hermiston Pendleton or Milton-Freewater.

Summary of Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to develop the clerical delivery system and processes to ensure efficient workflow. It designs implements and administers the business management activities of the program. This position manages 16-17 support staff team members and is responsible for the administrative functioning of the Child Welfare offices in four locations: Boardman Hermiston Milton-Freewater and Pendleton. This position manages the day-to-day administration of State and Federal laws administrative rules agency policies and procedures personnel policies and procedures and collective bargaining agreement for all staff.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid drivers license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
One year of experience as a supervisor of clerical secretarial or office support staff that includes hiring or recommending hiring training assigning and reviewing work preparing performance evaluations and handling disciplinary actions.
**This position is currently under reclassification review. Upon approval the incumbent will need to meet the minimum qualification for the new classification within 24 months.

Working Conditions
Work hours: Typical workday is 8-5pm. Possible variation of hours that might include evenings and weekends.
Travel: Frequent travel for meetings trainings and other related activities. This could include required occasional overnight travel.
This role involves handling sensitive topics related to trauma abuse and crises requiring a trauma-informed approach that is essential to ensure a safe environment.
You may interact with individuals who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty managing their emotions.
Be prepared for stressful situations that require quick decision-making to ensure safety for yourself and others.

The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship. Within three days of hire you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Securitys I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States. Finalists must be cleared by the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) through a fingerprint-based criminal records check.
