8:00 am 5:00 pm Onsite (Chicago IL)

The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $78870 - $103191. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors including performance knowledge job-related skills and experience and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&Cs annual incentive plan (AIP) subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as Traffic Supervisor!

S&Cs Shipping Operations is responsible for assembling completed sales orders into logical shipment bundles and contracting transportation of all S&C Chicago products in a timely cost effective manner to domestic customers and S&C affiliates. This position will engage in building shipment bundles contacting transport (trucking) dispatchers for equipment coordinating on-site times with the customer and helping the dockside loaders to prepare the product for a safe and on-time delivery. To be successful in this assignment will require excellent personal organization good multi-tasking skills good phone etiquette good writing ability and e-mail skills good people or team skills strong computer skills the ability to compile reports tied to key metrics and the ability to problem solve. You will function with team members from other S&C personnel Shipping/Packing personnel Product Specialists Sales Representatives assembly operations production planning and RVPs who are both on and off the Ridge Boulevard Industrial Complex.

Perhaps 1 to 3 times special situations per year which are beyond S&Cs control to avoid which may require product shipments on holidays or weekends or other non standard working hours to fulfill our customers needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluating and checking completed sales orders for consolidation with other sales orders to both expedite shipments and minimize shipping expenses
• Contacting transportation suppliers and customer contacts to coordinate loading equipment hauling selections and when necessary estimating delivery time
• Use S&Cs enterprise management tools (Oracle and OTM) efficiently to assign complete orders onto trips

What youll Need To Succeed:

• 3 to 5 years of Logistics/Supply/Shipping experience or college degree in Logistics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong computer and problem- solving skills
• Ability to work independently within and in support of a team-oriented environment
