The Office of Academic Affairs with support from the UT System and the Lumina Foundation has initiated research efforts designed to better understand ways to enhance undergraduate student success and experiential preparation for curriculum redesign initiatives to be implemented in the 2025-2028 academic years the Center for Teaching and Learning will collaboratively engage in students-as-partners research and planning throughout the 2025-2026 Academic Year through the Initiative for Students as Partners in Research and Education (InSPiRE). The Undergraduate Web App Developer will provide essential support to related ongoing and new research projects. Purpose
Background information about InSPiRE and our hiring process: The Undergraduate Web App Developer will be joining the InSPiRE team a collaborative group composed of undergraduate and graduate students as well as staff from the Center for Teaching and Learning. Responsibilities
The Undergraduate Web App Developer will be responsible for:
- Providing 7-10 hours of work each week with time divided between virtual and in-person meetings
- Checking in with Lead App Developer on a regularly scheduled basis
- Checking in with the InSPiRE Director and Curricular Team Leads on a monthly basis
- Collaborating by making pull requests and reviewing others code
- Presenting to Dean Admins and Faculty on the App and its use cases
- Learning quickly and delivering code on a timely basis
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with web development and frameworks such as
- Experience with JavaScript TypeScript and/or HTML
- Experience working with git making pull requests and working with others on the same repository
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduating between December 2026 and May 2027
- Completion of CS 373N - Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience with web development
- Experience with API calls
Salary Range
$15.00
Working Conditions
Work to be performed in a typical office environment
7-10 hours per week
