We are seeking aProcess Engineering Supervisorto provide leadership and technical expertise within a chemical processing environment. This role oversees a team of process engineers drives process optimization ensures product quality and supports safety and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering knowledge with proven leadership skills to deliver operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provideleadership mentoring and direct supervisionfor the Process Engineering team
- Manage theProcess Engineering Co-Op Programand develop future engineering talent
- Lead research and studies to developnew or improved process unit operations
- Provide technical input and leadership in thecapital budget planningprocess
- Monitorproduct qualityby analyzing process data troubleshooting issues and adjusting operating specifications
- Collaborate with Operations to deliverdaily status reviewsand optimize unit performance
- Evaluateunit feed rates energy usage and operating conditionsto identify improvement opportunities
- Analyze lab data and recommend adjustments to maintain process quality and efficiency
- Prepare and manage technical documentation for theManagement of Change (MOC)process
- Participate in and/or leadProcess Hazard Analyses (PHA)andPre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)for PSM-covered processes
- Size and specify process equipment including pumps heat exchangers control valves relief devices piping and other key components
- Drivesafety-first cultureand ensure compliance with all safety policies and regulatory standards
- Foster strong working relationships with co-workers contractors and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical Engineeringrequired
- Minimum5 years of refinery operations or process engineering experience
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant technical applications
