Job Summary

We are looking for an analyst for the Corporate Finance Mid-Market (CFMM) department. CFMM is a team that provides advice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to INGs customers: mainly director/majority shareholders (DGAs) and mid-market private equity firms. Transactions vary from approximately 20 to 200 million.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Preparing strategic presentations for customers.
  • Preparing information memoranda for sales processes.
  • Performing detailed valuation and financial analyses including multiple analyses (trading and transaction) and discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses.
  • Coordination of due diligence processes for M&A transactions including legal financial and/or commercial due diligence.
  • (Assisting with) drafting transaction documentation for example process letters and offer letters.
  • (Assisting with) maintaining contacts with ING colleagues to generate relevant leads.

CFMM is part of ING MidCorporate which means we are in close contact with our customers. Twelve ambitious professionals work at CFMM. You work together closely with highly educated colleagues in deal teams are given the freedom to develop your own initiatives and you have direct contact with customers. CFMM collaborates intensively with colleagues in (international) Corporate Finance. ING is the leading M&A adviser in the Benelux.

How to succeed

You are a proactive energetic and ambitious starter with a strong affinity for financial services the mid-market segment and M&A. In addition you identify with the following profile:

  • You have completed a Masters degree with above-average grades preferably in Economics or Finance supplemented with relevant extracurricular activities.
  • You have analytical skills familiarity with balance sheets results cash flows and valuation techniques.
  • You have an affinity with businesses run by directors who are also the major shareholder and family-run businesses in the Dutch mid-market.
  • You are highly skilled in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • You have an excellent command of spoken and written Dutch and English.
  • You are a team player communicative eager to learn stress-resistant entrepreneurial and hands-on.
