Principal System Administrators InformationWorkplaceServicescollaboratewith adiverseteam tosupportexciting critical programs with classified information system this role means you candevelop implement and maintain secure cost-efficientenvironmentsacross various classified programs. Program teams rely on yourcollaborationand guidance to define computing requirements andcreateend-to-endsolutionstosolvecomplexIT infrastructure problems.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedhatEnterpriseLinuxenvironment.
  • Understandingand knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS DHCP AD and server replication methods.
  • Working as a team member in afast-pacedtechnologicalenvironment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
  • Understanding data RAID data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date. We will provide the training needed.
  • Must be able todevelopsolutionsand documentation to a variety of technical problems.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
  • Travelis requiredto other US Domestic locations as businessneedsdictate up to 10% travel.
  • Full time 100% Onsite position in our Farmington NM location relocation is available for those who meet the criteria.
  • Farmington NM- focuses on manufacturing and missile production capabilities known for its contributions to producing critical components for various defense systems including missiles and other precision-guided munitions.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Linux and/or Windows System Administrator experience.
  • Experience in one of the following: ActiveDirectory VMware MySQL or networking administration experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
  • Experience with NISPOM JAFAN JSIG DFARS and/or DoD/RMF experience in Windows Server data storage NAS and SAN technologies andsolutions.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter vSphere and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experiencesupportingengineers in software simulations and hardware development.
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS SMECP and/or Exchange and High-Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linuxenvironment.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
